Configure Your New eMail Accounts
Ready to set up your email account(s)? Here's how!
(These directions are guaranteed to work if your site is hosted with Host Gator.
Otherwise, you may need to check with your web host provider.)
- Go to your control panel: http://www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel
- You will be required to enter your user name and password.
- Look for the section titled E-Mail and click on the link that says "Manage Accounts."
- Click on "Add Account"
- The rest should be self-explanatory.

User Name: yourusername@yourdomainname.com
Password: Contact support@hostgator.com for lost passwords.

How to configure your POP email program (ie. Outlook and Eudora)
DIAL-UP CONNECTION (Phone Modem)
Mail Server: POP3
(Incoming) Mail Server: mail.yourdomainname.com
(Outgoing) SMTP Server: smtp.yourisp
(such as smtp.earthlink.net... you may need to check with your ISP)
Account Name Sample: yourusername@yourdomainname.com
Password: Contact support@hostgator.com for lost passwords.
